With a study of our own completed bookings on DeliverMyMotor in 2026 we averaged the cost of vehicle transport from 377 completed bookings for a single-car to be moved. The overall average was £2.18 per mile. The shortest journeys come in at around £6.54 per mile, equivalent to roughly £130 for 20 miles as an illustration, not a fixed quote. Mid range moves averaged £2.32 per mile for 50–199 miles and £1.78 for deliveries 200 miles and above. Shorter trips generally have a base fee then a mileage fee which changes the average per mile cost.
Based on accurate data we released our car transport cost calculator to get an idea of price range. These prices can be cheaper or a little higher based on weight and the current fuel costs.
Data is drawn from bookings completed between 1 January–26 September 2026 with matching booking payment records. Average is total booked cost divided by total route miles, including customer booking fees. Distance groups contain 83, 200 and 94 bookings respectively. Driven, mixed-method and multi-vehicle bookings are excluded. Historical prices, not a guaranteed quote.

Really pleased with the delivery service. They collected the car as agreed and delivered it safely, keeping me informed throughout. They explained the process clearly and were transparent about the costs, including the fuel cost, which they mentioned upfront and offered to show a receipt for.
